May 16, 2012 - As part of President Obama’s 2010 National Export Initiative, EPA and the Department of Commerce announced that a new web-based tool will soon be made available to assist U.S. environmental companies in promoting American environmental technology, products, and services in the global marketplace.

May 16, 2012 - One top item in EPA’s August 2011 Final Plan for Periodic Retrospective Reviews was elimination of the Clean Air Act’s Stage II vapor recovery requirements for higher throughput gasoline dispensing facilities (GDF). The Agency has now followed through with a final rule that allows states in current or former ozone nonattainment areas to seek EPA approval of state implementation plan (SIP) revisions that remove the Stage II requirements.

May 16, 2012 (Final Regulation) - EPA has promulgated technology-based effluent limitations guidelines (ELGs) and new source performance standards (NSPS) under the Clean Water Act (CWA) for discharges from airport deicing operations. The requirements generally apply to wastewater associated with the deicing of airfield pavement at primary airports.
