The Lawrence Wastewater Treatment Facility was recently recognized as the first municipal facility in Region 7 to enter EPA's Performance Track Program.

According to EPA, the plant has consistently exceeded federal environmental requirements.

Performance Track is a voluntary program for public and private facilities, large or small, based on the idea that government should recognize and reward environmental performance that consistently exceeds regulatory requirements.
