OSHA Challenge: PELs
OSHA has set standards for workers’ permissible exposure limits (PELs) to airborne hazardous substances. Which of the following is the definition of the ceiling limit?

A) The employee's 15-minute time-weighted average exposure, which must not be exceeded at any time during a workday unless another time limit is specified in a parenthetical notation below the limit.
B) The employee's maximum allowable average airborne exposure in any 8-hour work shift of a 40-hour workweek.
C) An airborne concentration of a toxic substance in the work environment, which should never be exceeded.
