A Note to Readers
Used electronic waste is creating a new, rapidly growing wastestream. Rather than wait for federal legislation, various states have addressed the increase in electronic waste by enacting their own laws and regulations, and a number of countries have developed or are developing restrictions on the import of hazardous substances and electronic equipment that contains certain hazardous chemicals.

To address this, we created a new topic on Enviro.BLR.com focusing on these issues.
