  A Note to Readers  

EPA has proposed a new rule requiring facilities to report emissions of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide. See the news article to find out if you are one of the 13,000 facilities covered under the proposal.

Also in the news, the recent coal ash spill from a Tennessee Valley Authority plant has sparked a new EPA plan to prevent future releases. This plan includes proposed regulations to address the management of coal combustion residuals expected by the end of the year.
