Mandatory GHG Reporting: What You Need to Know Now
On March 10, 2009, EPA Administrator Lisa P. Jackson signed a proposed rule for the first nationwide mandatory greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting program in the United States. Approximately 13,000 facilities, accounting for about 85 percent to 90 percent of GHGs emitted in the United States, would be covered under the proposal. In most cases, if you have to report GHGs one year, you will be reporting them forever.
