Contingency Plan
National Summary
In the broadest sense, the term "contingency plan" can refer to any of the emergency response plans required by numerous statutes and regulations and administered by several federal agencies. A particular facility may be subject to one or more of the plans listed on Table I. With the exception of the National Response Team (NRT) "integrated contingency plan," only the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) contingency plan is discussed in detail in this section.
