 Regulatory Analysis
Environmental audits enable businesses and organizations to systematically uncover wasteful and inefficient activities and minimize or eliminate exposure to regulatory penalties when potential violations are discovered. Federal and state audit policies give penalty breaks to businesses, government agencies, and other organizations for certain violations discovered through a voluntary environmental audit. The audit compares actual operational status to management's environmental performance expectations.
