Community Right to Know

National Summary The focus of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) is to protect public health and the environment. It affects almost all facilities that manufacture, use, or store hazardous chemicals. EPCRA has three nonemergency chemical reporting components--hazardous chemicals reporting, annual hazardous chemical inventory reporting, and annual toxic chemical release inventory reporting.
