National Summary
Title III of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), which is known as the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), encourages and supports emergency planning for chemical accidents and provides local governments and the public with information on chemical hazards in their communities. EPCRA's four components are Community Right-to-Know reporting, Emergency Planning and Notification, Emergency Release Notification, and Toxic Chemical Release Inventory (TRI) reporting.
