SiteHawk and BLR announce strategic partnership

New partnership provides SDS capability to EHS subscription websites

NASHVILLE, TENN.  (April 7, 2015) — SiteHawk, the longstanding leader for cloud-based chemical data management and compliance solutions, and BLR-Business & Legal Resources, the leading provider of compliance and training services for safety and environmental markets, today announced a partnership to provide instant access to SiteHawk’s cloud-based safety data sheet (SDS) application.

As an EHS professional, it’s hard to tell if you are being paid competitively, and as an employer, it’s hard to tell if you are offering salaries that are competitive and efficient. For a Limited Time we’re offering a FREE copy of the 2018 EHS Salary Guide! Download Now

Through the partnership, subscribers of Safety.BLR.com or Enviro.BLR.com will be able to search, view and print accurate and up-to-date safety data sheets. SiteHawk’s QuickSearch capability will help users find the SDSs and chemicals they are looking for by enabling them to search by location, manufacturer, synonym, and other identification fields.

“We value the collaborative relationship we have with BLR.” said Ernie Connon, CEO of SiteHawk. “The partnership reflects the flexibility of our technology to enable efficiency and enhance compliance within chemical data management as well as the broader environmental, health and safety industry.”

The partnership comes at a time when organizations are transitioning to the Globally Harmonized System (GHS).  By June 1, 2015, chemical manufacturers and distributors are required to switch to GHS-formatted SDSs to maintain compliance with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (2012).  The partnership provides BLR subscribers with an option to access SiteHawk’s full suite of chemical data management solutions, including environmental reporting, materials approval processes and GHS labeling.

“We are excited about this new relationship with SiteHawk,” said Ed Keating, Vice President of EHS Solutions for BLR.  “This partnership provides BLR clients with a ‘best in class’ chemical management solution.  It also extends BLR’s trusted partner network which is focused on delivering solutions that improve safety and minimize compliance risk for our customers.”
